Bespoke raised steel shed base with staircase and balustrading
The Brief
Triangle were briefed to design a bespoke steel raised platform with a staircase and balustrading for a shed at a training facility. The shed is to be used for visitors and as a tearoom.
The Challenge
The challenge was to design a raised platform and staircase in modular form for easy installation in areas with restricted access. The supporting columns were concreted in place.
The Result
It is a fairly new concept to fabricate a platform with access and balustrading for a wood shed, but the result is very pleasing and because it is raised, the floor shed will not be subject to ground rot.
