Bespoke Inspection footbridge under Redbridge Flyover
The Brief
Triangle was briefed to design and build a stainless steel and GRP footbridge for concrete inspection under Redbridge flyover in Southampton. Access was to be via a gabion basket wall and pathway.
The Challenge
The challenge of the footbridge build was working off a pontoon between tides and moving water levels. Triangle is well equipped for working from pontoons and over water. Special pollution control and safety and rescue measures were put in place during the build.
The Result
The complete structure of the footbridge was made in GRP, with grade 316 stainless steel wall brackets and grade A2 stainless fasteners and anchors.
