How can we help?
Emergency bridge repair after road traffic accident
The Brief
Triangle was briefed to carry out a full, emergency repair to a bridge wall that was in danger of collapsing onto a gas main. Although many of our projects are concrete and steel, when it comes to bridges, we have many years’ experience with brickwork.
The Challenge
The challenge was working over water and above a gas main. It was vital to carefully dismantle the damaged section without presenting a danger to the pipeline. All work was carried out off a pontoon and under a full road closure.
The Result
The repaired footbridge was built to exactly match the existing, although the old copings were removed to match the far side of the bridge.
