Car park security for Eastgate
The Brief
Triangle was briefed to design and build car park security barriers that were both practical and secure but enhanced the building. The design brief was for full height barriers at 2kN loading.
The Challenge
The challenge was working at height in a working car park. Because of the Covid pandemic, the car park was less busy than usual, although we still needed to work in close proximity to parked and moving vehicles, and pedestrians. Adding to the complexity was working at height with heavy steel rail sections – for this, we used specialist equipment to secure and position the sections.
The Result
The completed car park looks practical and pleasing, and above all, is secure from unauthorised after-hours access.
